I did manage to knock out 503 words on Chapter Two, so I can say I did get something done. I also added about 1500 words to the proposal to the tie-in novel I'm working on. That's a good evening's writing in and of itself, I guess. We'll have to take our victories where we can. With a little luck, I'll finish the first draft of the proposal at lunch tomorrow. (finger's crossed)
Speaking of tie-in's and such, there was a great cartoon today in Non Sequetor that reminds me of WAY too many conventions I've been in. kradical has the strip posted on his blog, so I'll just highly recommend you go there and enjoy if you haven't seen it already.
Also, I've been enjoying the heck out of Faux Pas these past few weeks. One of the characters is a frustrated novelist and it's been fun watching her and her "muse" discuss various ideas for plots, etc. The scene where Myrtle is having writer's block and her muse is in the other room watching TV seems entirely too realistic to me.
Probably won't get much writing done tomorrow night with the show, but we're going to review the YA fantasy novel we're working on Saturday morning to make certain everyone is in agreement on where we're going to go with this, who's going to write what, and all those wonderful little details that come with a collaboration. I've never tried writing with someone like this before, so I expect it to be a very frustrating and yet very enjoyable experience when it's all over.
With luck, we'll still be speaking to each other when this is done.
