Instead, we've been redecorating. We've painted and wallpapered the dining room, and painted the kitchen. We've swapped out the guest bedroom and the den, turning the den into a library by hanging shelving on two of the walls and moving almost all of our books into the new room. Plus Mom sewed new cushions for the dining room chairs/bench. She and
Although, I do admit the kitchen/dining room look wonderful. Wish, Mom and Dad did great work while I was at work. By the time I got home, they were pretty much wrapping up for the day. That just meant I got to spend time with Dad watching baseball. I'm not a fan of baseball these days, but I was a big Cardinal fan back when I was a kid. I have good memories of going to my grandfather's and Dad, him and me sitting around the old Zenith radio listening to the Cardinals on KMOX in St. Louis. This has been like this, except, you couldn't pay the daughter unit to sit and watch baseball on TV.
Just submitted my English Comp. homework tonight, since I'm going to be on the road this weekend. Also, I've been having fun this week working on my homework for "Writing for TV and Radio". Our assignment? Watch children's TV this week. Like I wouldn't be watching Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon with my daughter anyway? ;)
Yes, I'm going to be on the road this weekend. This weekend is the 37 Forever Foundation's banquet and annual get-together at Arrowhead Stadium. I attended last year when the Chiefs finally retired Joe Delaney's number and had a great time meeting everyone as well as helping raise money for the Foundation. I started planning on going back as soon as we knew when the game was going to be. The fact that it's against the Redskins is strictly icing on the cake. Living here in the Balto/DC area, I have to deal with Ravens/Redskins fans all the time (along with Eagles/Steelers fans).
Plus, while I'm there, I'll be catching up with one of my best friends who's taking me to the University of Missouri's homecoming game against Iowa State. It's the same weekend as Central Missouri's homecoming, but I think it'll be more fun getting to spend some time with Randy than wandering around the Alma Mater by myself.
Hopefully, I'll get a chance to do some work on Harbinger on the plane to and from Missouri. I'm not expecting to get much writing done over the weekend.
