Back to the grind and out of the blue . . .

Got ahold of Tee Morris this afternoon to make arrangements about attending FantaSci this Saturday. We're going down to spend the night with Tony Ruggerio on Friday and then make our way over to the Chesapeake, VA Public Library for the show. Doing a couple of panels, a signing session and a reading at the show. It ought to be a lot of fun. Jim Blanton, who's responsible for the show, tells me a LOT of the local area kids show up for this.

I received a letter from an old friend from college last night. I hadn't talked to her since . . . 1991? Gaaah! She saw my name in a CMSU Alumni newsletter, but it had an old e-mail address. Luckily, another friend of mine (one I hadn't seen since 1981 . . . re-gaaah!)found my web site and got my e-mail for her. She's trying to hook me up with some other friends that I haven't seen since college also. It's been fun reminising with someone who's known me since 1st Grade. And no, I'm not going to mention how long ago that was.

And, to my old room mate, you better drop me an e-mail and soon, big guy.

Let's just say, the internet does make the world a smaller place.

kradical sent me some information for Coventry late last night. I've been going over it to see if there are any additional changes I need to make to my story before submitting it. So far, I think I'm O.K., but I'm giving it a good going over just the same. wishweaver gave Coventry a scrub while I was at San Diego, but she didn't find any glaring errors, so now it's just a matter of getting all the paperwork taken care of.

Had a good session working on Harbinger tonight. Added another 1253 words tonight and seem to be moving away from my initial outline further and further as this particular arc of the story moves forward. Something tells me, Harbinger is going to go way over the goal of 125K and need some significant surgery to get it back down to the 100-125K range I was going for on this story. Damn characters, always finding new ways to make my life miserable.

Current Harbinger status:

Stegosaurus? Bah, you kids have it too easy.

You know how hard it is to try and teach a trilobite to fetch? Feah.
