The Whirlwind Life of an Author*

Woke up this morning and spotted the big fluffy white flakes falling out of the sky. Luckily, it looks like the worst of the storm went out to sea instead of proceeding up the coast. I think we got between 2-3 inches here, which is a whole lot better than the 23 inches we got back in December.

So, what does the intrepid author do when snowed in? Why dishes, laundry, and watching copious amounts of anime, of course. I also enjoyed a very nice tea called "Snow Geisha" from Tevanna this afternoon while I caught the Central Missouri Mules game on the internet.

I'm having some issues hooking into their internet feed for the radio commentary, but at least they provide a play-by-play 'live stats' on line. Even with that issue, I was still able to enjoy the Mules victory over Pittsburg State 72-61. The Mules move to 19-1 (12-1 in conference) and they should maintain their #4 ranking in Div. II basketball.

I did get some writing in this evening, adding 1076 words to Steel on Target. I'm moving along with the story and getting ready to really drop a hammer on my characters in the next chapter or two. It's going to be interesting to see how they react to what's coming.

Just about finished my glass of wine, so I guess I should wrap this up tonight. Need to get my sleep before I hit the snow shovel in the morning.

*some lives are more whirlwind than others. *grin*
