Well, first off, I forgot I'd arranged with April to get together every Tuesday via Skype to discuss Shattered Mirror. As I logged on to write, there was a message from her waiting for me. So I buzzed her and was reminded about the appointment. Yikes! I quickly called up the latest chapter and we discussed the edits we wanted to make on it until 2030.
Then, I noted Tuesday night is my one night that I really want to watch TV. American Life TV runs their World War II shows tonight. So, I was torn between writing and watching The Rat Patrol, Combat!, and Twelve O'Clock High. Luckily for me, the episode of Combat was one I had on DVD, so I was able to get quite a bit of writing done during that show. I sort of pecked a few things out when the other shows were on, but I still managed to get 1063 words added to Childhood's Tears.
So, I'm going to have to rethink the schedule a bit. Perhaps I'll have to schedule some time before work or at lunch on Tuesdays to make up for my lack of enthusiasm while my shows are on.
Yeah, it's a little embarrassing after going on and on about trying to write every night and then being tempted not to just eight days in. *sigh*
