Advanced Copy

Got a call yesterday from wishweaver telling me that a small package from Simon and Schuster had arrived for me. Curious, I told her to go ahead and open it.

It was a copy of The Sky's the Limit, the 2007 Star Trek anthology with my story "Redshift" in it. I'm going to assume it's an advanced copy, since I didn't think the book was going to be out until sometime in October, but I'm not complaining!

*grins*

I need to drop Marco a line thanking him for sending this to me. Yes, I'm still new enough at this that seeing my name on a cover still makes me grin.

Now, to get back to work and finish up those projects and get them sent out.

Motivation. It's a beautiful thing.

Hey, I still grin when I see my name on the cover, too. :)

(No advance copy for me yesterday, though Kevin got one. I'm hoping it'll be there today.)

Yeah, mine showed up yesterday, too. Sure was a pleasant surprise! I definitely did not squeal as I opened it.

I didn't squeal, but I admit I may have done a few steps of my happy dance.

Luckily, only family members were exposed to it and my daughter's departing words were "Dad, quit embarrassing yourself."
