"Heard back from Paula at CBS. Outline approved."
So, barring my inability to get this puppy done on time, I'll be in The Sky's the Limit, the 2007 Star Trek Anthology. Course, it would help if I was a tad more focused, but it's been tough writing these past few days. I got some words written (538 words), but I'm going to have to really bust my butt this weekend to make up the lost days.
I can see where I'm going to have to trim Redshift down some also. I'm already pushing 8600 words and I've got three more big scenes to write. Oh well. At least I have some areas where trimming isn't going to be painful. It's the other section I'm going to have to trim that's going to be painful. It's a really interesting scene between Pulaski and Wesley, but I'm going to have to look and see how much of it is accessory and how much is actually pushing the story forward.
Writing short stuff isn't easy. I'm much more a novella/novel person.
Also, got half my other short story outlined. Just waiting to hear from the editor that the plot has been approved and when he's going to need it by.
