Wow, I was on a roll tonight.
Over the past week, I've been fiddling around with Shattered Mirror and Dragon Couchant, but I just wasn't making any real headway. Between being busy around the house and a general malaise that had settled over me, it was just hard to find time to get any real writing done. But, something broke the dam loose tonight.
As soon as Good Eats finished at 1930 tonight (and if you don't watch that show, you're missing some very interesting television) I sat down at the computer and went at it. Between the piddling around I did last week and tonight's work, I've added 648 words to Shattered Mirror, finishing my first go through the chapter before April sees it and I've added 6,856 words to Dragon Couchant (2582 this evening).
I'm not certain what got me going again but I'm certainly going to try and keep it going as long as the momentum is there. It was really nice to see the words flowing again instead of writing three sentences and then running out of steam. I think I've let a few things at work get to me more than they should and it's been affecting my writing habits.
By the way, did any of the other writers here notice the For Better or For Worse Sunday strip? It hit a little close to home, although
wishweaver thinks Michael listens better than I do.
